Yanks Win, Cole Heating Up

In an impressive outing yielding 7.0 innings pitched, 13 strikeouts, and a win, the Yankees got it done in resounding fashion. The former Astro turned Bronx ace, Gerrit Cole, looked untouchable in yesterday's game against the Orioles. As previously mentioned, Cole struck out 13 and allowed 0 walks as well as 0 earned runs. As a starting pitcher in the MLB, these are the types of outings you'd hope for. Cole was able to set his team up for success after pitching a shutout with the Yankees going on to win 7-2 over the O's. Not for nothing, but the bats last night certainly didn't disappoint! Another homer from Judge makes that his second of the season, sitting at a .364 batting average and 5 RBIs, going 3-5 for the evening. Honorable mention to Giancarlo Stanton, who after Monday's smoke of a grand-slam went 2-4 with 1 RBI; hopefully Stanton's starting to light a fire under that tough facade.

As we reflect back on last night's performance, we hope for another win in tonight's game, completing the sweep and springboarding us back into 1st place for the AL East.

Gerrit Cole
